history of the california gold rush is still physically present but sometimes forgotten with the advance of society.

many pass by these remnants of a bygone era without much thought to their significance and beauty. these remnants hold rich history and the stories of the past.

As a photographer I believe that I am able to give these forgotten memories a second life of sorts, preserving them in pictures for others to interperet the history for themselves.

anthony marsh is an apparel designer and entrepreneur who makes his home in the historic gold mining town of sutter creek california. one of his many interests is documenting the sights of his surrounding area in photos.
